DESCRIPTION:On Thursday\, April 14 th \, Inspire Film Festival will host a
  kickoff event at the festival’s new location\, the Midtown Arts & Theater
  Center Houston: MATCH\, to launch its official move from The Woodlands to
  Houston. The evening will serve as an introduction to the new setting and
  an opportunity for supporters to experience what the festival has to offe
 r.  The evening will feature a screening of The Interpreters \, an award-w
 inning documentary about the journey of Afghan and Iraqi interpreters – wh
 o played a key role in enabling communication between locals and U.S. troo
 ps – as they attempt to escape the violence of the region as American invo
 lvement decreases. The interpreters and their families face difficult deci
 sions as they wait for amnesty paperwork or attempt alternative\, dangerou
 s escape routes. In true Inspire Film Festival fashion\, the viewer experi
 ence doesn’t end as the lights come up at the end of the film. In partners
 hip with Combined Arms\, a nonprofit dedicated to serving veterans and Spe
 cial Immigrant Visa (SIV) recipients\, interpreters who have resettled in
  Houston as well as some of the veterans with whom they served will be in
  attendance as a testament to how powerful and close to home these stories
