Be a Hero In Your Community - No Cape Is Needed

Annually,  the AARP Foundation Tax-Aide group provides assistance to thousands of taxpayers in your area.  We provide free tax services for  members of our communities  that are 50+ and also to  those neighbors of  low to moderate income.

Neighbors like YOU help prepare tax returns or serve in other ways, like organizing client paperwork, managing computer equipment, acting as interpreters, or making sure everything runs smoothly.   There is a role for everyone.

Volunteers are asked to  commit to a minimum of four hours per week from February 1 to April 18.   No previous experience is necessary.

In January,  volunteers will attend a comprehensive training course leading to  IRS certification on tax law, tax forms and the software needed to prepare and electronically file income tax returns.
