Join Texas Folklife, the Museum of South Texas History, and the City of Edinburg to watch the 2023 Conjunto Category Semi-Finalists audition for the 2023 Big Squeeze Statewide Youth Accordion Contest Finals! Contest Finalists will be announced at the end of the event. Featuring a special performance from Grupo Azido and emceed by Veronique Medrano.

This event is in collaboration with Edinburg Music Festival. The Festival will follow the Contest and begin at 6 PM.

Texas Folklife is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the diverse cultural heritage of Texas through various programs and initiatives. One of their flagship programs is The Big Squeeze, an annual statewide accordion contest for young musicians.The Big Squeeze program aims to support and showcase the next generation of accordion players and promote the cultural heritage of Texas through the accordion, which has played a significant role in shaping Texas music history.
