The Buckingham, an SQLC retirement community, recently welcomed spring with a ladies “Style is Ageless” fashion show and luncheon. Invited guests embraced the warmer season as Houston stylist Nancy Wilfong showcased the latest trends from designer boutique Bags and More. The style show debuted this spring and summers’ most sought-after looks, including soft pastels, bold prints, fringe and other trends hitting stores this season. Ten models, all residents of The Buckingham, walked down the runway to provide an up-close peek at this season’s designs.

Residents and guests were dazzled by Wilfong’s style secrets sure to keep them current this spring and summer. Residents also enjoyed mingling with invited guests during the lunch portion of the event. The “Style is Ageless” fashion show and luncheon was an extension of the Masterpiece Living® philosophy, which serves as the community’s foundation. The philosophy embraces a wellness-minded attitude and encourages learning by focusing on an individual’s key development areas—social, mental, physical and spiritual.

“We were delighted to host the “Style is Ageless” fashion show and luncheon,” said Julie Fenske, executive director of The Buckingham. “It’s a fun event that gives residents and invited guests a chance to socialize and enjoy learning about this season’s summer fashions.”

The “Style is Ageless” fashion show wrapped up with a grand finale of the ladies modeling umbrellas uniquely designed by a Houston photographer.
