Serving adults with special needs, TEAM Abilities is the leader in quality care for day habilitation programs and community living care.

"The need for our professional services is growing exponentially," Rachel Jelks said, Executive Director and Founder of the agency. "We currently have seven community living care centers and will be opening another two more very quickly. 

TEAM Abilities, whose name is an acronym for Together Everyone Achieves More, is an HCS & TxHml provider and provides day habilitation, respite care, after-school programs, summer camp and community living care homes. 

Speakers for the Open House will include Team Abilities staff members; Gayle Fischer, a Learning Differences Consultant and Founder of Special Needs Sibs - SNS; as well as a representative from Mass Mutual Greater Houston to talk about Special Care Planning, addressing how to care for your loved one's future. There will also be a tour of Team Center, Team's Day Habilitation program, and ample time for questions to be answered.

"Currently we offering not only the Open House, but also our Summer Camp program," Jelks said. "We offer so much in our day hab program that is enticing to many teens and young adults with special needs. We do art projects, science experiments, learn Spanish, and so much more."

Jelks mentioned that the Team Members recently created a wall mural of a stained glass window that adorns the library area, an area that offers more than 200 books to inquisitive minds.

The Open House will take place at 1029 Pruitt Road in The Woodlands on Thursday, June 25, from 11am to 2pm and a lite lunch will be served.
