Sculpting With Time Productions, a Houston-based international award- winning film production studio, won three Lone Star EMMYs for outstanding achievement as Director, Editor (Sports) and Photographer (Sports) for its short film, The UH Football Experience, a cinematic journey into the world of college football at the University of Houston. Also nominated for Writer and Audio, the film spotlights the University as it ushers in a new era with the state-of-the-art TDECU stadium. With sweeping aerials and behind the scenes footage, the captivating seven-minute video offers a glimpse into the University’s athletic program as they prepare for its historic 2015 season, led by head coach Tom.

“We are so honored and excited to take home these prestigious awards,” said Alex Douglas, creator and co-founder of Sculpting With Time Productions, a husband and wife team. “As two people who were born and raised in Houston, we loved creating something that has inspired the University’s players and students throughout their current undefeated football season,” said Douglas. The duo spent eight months creating and refining the award-winning piece, which premiered on the Jumbotrons and throughout the TDECU stadium during the Houston Cougar’s annual spring game. Now in the middle of their season, the team must maintain their undefeated 9-0 record as they face off next week against fellow undefeated conference.

Alex graduated with a filmmaking degree from the San Francisco Art Institute, and was awarded by the National Endowment for the Advancement of the Arts, one of the world’s most prestigious arts organizations. His wife and partner, Whitney, earned her BFA as a Silas Rhodes Scholar from The School of Visual Arts in New York City and studied in Italy for several years. After nearly a decade of international documentary work and living abroad, they were inspired by love to return to their roots and relocated to Houston in 2010, where they joined forces. Together, they bring a unique vision shaped by their personal and artistic endeavors.
