Special Needs Summer Camp at Last
TEAM Abilities serves adults with special needs through Day Habilitation programs and Group Home care. Wednesday, May 26, TEAM will be hosting an Open House to talk about the upcoming Summer Camp programs and their Day Habilitation programs for those looking for longer-term enrollment.
“Many students will be out for the summer and parents are looking for open and available programs for their children especially following the strenuous conditions of COVID-19,” Rachel Jelks said, Executive Director for TEAM Abilities. “There still are many programs that are closed and many of the resources parents once depended on are no longer viable at least at this time. TEAM is going to be offering exciting, high-engagement programs for adults with special needs.”
TEAM Abilities, an acronym for Together Everyone Achieves More, serves low- to high-functioning adults with special needs.
“We have a highly-trained staff and provide expert care for those adults who need a higher level of service,” Jelks said. “We pride ourselves on our highly competent staff.”
The Summer Camp program will take place June and July and the Open House will take place at TEAM Abilities located at 1029 Pruitt Road in Spring, Wednesday, May 26, 11:30am to 2pm. Light lunch will be served. Guests will attend free-of-charge and will tour TEAM’s Day Habilitation program, learn about the upcoming Summer Camp, as well as hear from a variety of speakers. Anyone who is considering summer care or longer-term care is invited to attend. To RSVP please call Donna Wick at 832-790-2879, TEXT is best.
