Team Member and Librarian, Maria, hands a book to Team Member, Craig, at Library Time for his reading enjoyment.

TEAM Abilities, the leader in quality care for day habilitation programs and community living care, recently received a generous donation from Rita Wiltz, Executive Director of Children’s Books on Wheels.

"We recently added a library area to our TEAM Center and needed many more books to appeal to the inquisitive nature of our Team Members," Rachel Jelks said, Executive Director and Founder of the agency. "We were thrilled when Rita generously donated more than 200 books to make our library complete.”

TEAM Abilities, whose name is an acronym for Together Everyone Achieves More, is an HCS & TxHml provider serving low- to high-functioning adults with special needs through day habilitation, respite care, after-school programs, summer camp and community living care homes.

"We will be hosting an Open House on Thursday, June 25 from 11am to 2pm and can’t wait to show off our library area," Jelks said. "We also have added a lounge where Team Members can listen to music, catch a quick nap or put a puzzle together. TEAM also has a Tranquility Room which offers complete silence for those of our members who are audio-sensitive and need a little break from classroom chatter.”

Speakers for TEAM’s Open House will be Gayle Fischer, a Learning Differences Consultant and Founder of Special Needs Sibs – SNS and will take place at 1029 Pruitt Road in The Woodlands on Thursday, June 25, from 11am to 2pm. A lite lunch will be served. Guests will also be able to tour Team Center and learn more about the Community Living care homes.

To RSVP for the Open House, call Donna Wick at 832-790-2879 or go to the TEAM Abilities' Facebook page: Team Abilities - The Woodlands. For more information go to www.MyTeamAbilities.com.
