This Sunday, August 21, members of the Woodlands Symphony Brass section will perform at the Dosey Doe Music Café on FM 1488. The group will present classical and popular music from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. in an informal setting during extended hours of the Dosey Doe brunch menu.

This is the first in a series of concerts that will feature sections of the Woodlands Symphony at Dosey Doe. Darryl Bayer, artistic director of the Woodlands Symphony Orchestra, and Steve Said, owner of Dosey Doe, have collaborated to begin a new tradition in The Woodlands called Classic Café to take place on the third Sunday of each month. The concerts are free and open to the public, in keeping with the mission of the Woodlands Symphony to make classical music accessible to all.

During the program, there will be opportunities to hear about the upcoming Woodlands Symphony concerts, meet and greet the musicians and assist the Woodlands Symphony in this year’s fundraising campaign. The WSO will present two more free concerts this year: A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Rob Fleming Park on September 17 and Handel’s Messiah on December 4.

Dosey Doe Music Café is located at 463 FM 1488 in Conroe. To learn more about the concert and other appearances by the WOS, please visit www.woodlandssymphony.org
