Local Kids Spread Christmas Spirit – and Money – to Star of Hope

4th annual fundraising event raises $2,155 for those in need

For the fourth year in a row, students at Esprit International School donned their Santa hats and angel wings and raised money that was then donated to Star of Hope. Rosemary Brumbelow, founder and head of the K-12 private school based in The Woodlands, recently took her students on a day trip to the Houston Star of Hope center, where they presented a check for $2,155 – raised by individual and group fundraising efforts – and toured the facilities. Kathrin Yokubaitis, manager of community relations and events at Star of Hope, gratefully accepted the check and conducted the tour.

Star of Hope is a Christ-centered community supporting Houston’s homeless men, women and children. They encourage positive life changes through programs in spiritual growth, education, employment, life management and substance abuse recovery.

Esprit International School is located at 4890 W. Panther Creek in The Woodlands. The mission of Esprit International School is to provide each student a balanced and diverse education in a safe, supportive environment that promotes self-discipline, motivation and excellence in learning.
