There are particular characteristics that are universal to sharks. They tend to view themselves as being at the top of the food chain. They are constantly in motion. They devour everything in sight. And they refuse to listen to any pleas to back off. Interestingly, these exact same characters fit most young children. Which is why IGi Playground is celebrating both species with Shark Awareness Day on Thursday, July 14, starting at 11:30 a.m.

IGi (pronounced “Iggy”) is the newest indoor play center for children to hit The Woodlands area, complete with fun slides, ball pit, epic tunnels and trampolines, cool obstacles, amazing zip line, sweet candy bar and a fantastic maze. The facilities also include private party rooms with video conferencing, crafts, a healthy snack bar, an in-house candy store and even a frozen yogurt bar.

For Shark Awareness Day, the staff at IGi will offer special deals, promotions and activities. Children and parents alike will learn facts, secrets and trivia about sharks of all types.

IGi is specialized for entertainment for children from age infant to 13. All-day tickets, membership prices and party packages are available. IGi Playground is located at 3759 FM 1488, suite 250, in The Woodlands. Sunday through Thursday hours are 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. For more information, call 832-299-6666 or visit www.igiplayground.com.
